A 3 days Uganda gorilla tour takes you through gorilla trekking in the lush tropical rainforest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. It is a short tour that is set for those of you with limited time or on budget safari to get up close with a group of mountain gorillas while in their natural habitat. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a home to half the total population of mountain gorillas that still thrive on earth today. This tour begins and ends in Kampala or Entebbe.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Have enjoyable cup of tea or coffee and after, head off to Bwindi Impenetrable  National Park, Southwest of Uganda for a 8-10 hours drive. Drive through Kampala-Masaka-Mbarara route. En-route, make a stopover at Equator crossing at Kayabwe for photo taking and relaxation. Proceed to Igongo Cultural Centre to have lunch and enrich yourself with Ankole culture.  After, head to the gorilla highlands through breathtaking scenery with terraced hills to your dream mountain gorilla tracking trailhead as per your gorilla permit. The trailheads include Buhoma, Rushaga, Ruhija and Nkuringo. Dine and spend a night at Buhoma Lodge/Chameleon Hill Lodge /Mahogany springs (luxury), Gorilla Mist Camp/Bakiga Lodge (Mid-range) or Buhoma Community Bandas/Rushaga Gorilla Camp/Ruhija Gorilla Friends Camp (Budget).

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

This is a very exciting day that will wake us with a lot of anxiety for a once in a lifetime experience. After our breakfast, we shall carry our hiking shoes, packed lunches and rain gear among others, and go to meet the Mountain Gorillas. We shall gather at the park offices for entertainment as well as briefing before gorilla tracking. This involves getting conversant with the rules and regulations, dos and don’ts of the one in a million gorilla trek.
After briefing, you will trek through the tangles and vines while penetrating the impenetrable forest until you meet the silverback and his family in their daily activities.
It will take about an hour viewing the gorillas and the return back to the offices for graduation. After, return to the lodge for rest and later, set off on evening walk to Batwa and Bakiga community for cultural encounter.

Day 3: Drive back to Kampala/Entebbe

Wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. Later, drive back to Kampala or Entebbe.
