5 Days Birding Safari

This safari will take you to Kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park and lastly to Lake Mburo National Park. It includes 4 nights and 5 days with different activities in the different parks.

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, our driver guide will pick you from your hotel in Entebbe/Kampala and transfers you to Kibale forest national park in the west. Along the way, you will have a stopover for lunch, and then proceed to Bigodi wetland land sanctuary just next to the park for birding. This will give you a chance to encounter different bird species and these could include the White-spotted Fluff tail, Yellow-spotted Barbet, Hairy-breasted Barbet, Yellow-billed Barbet, Western Nicator, Grey-winged Robin-chat, White-tailed Ant-thrush, Brown-backed Scrub-robin, Black-and-white Shrike-flycatcher, Brown-throated Wattle-eye, and Superb Sunbird among others.

Dinner and overnight at your reserved lodge.

Day 2: Birding in Kibale Forest Nationa Park

Wake up with a morning breakfast and then move to the forest. The forest can only be accessed on foot and this expose you to different bird species like the green-breasted pitta, African pitta, crowned eagle, purple- breasted sunbird, black capped apalis and the collared apalis among others. While in the forest, you will do chimp trekking and you will also get an opportunity to visit the Crater Lake regions in the park.

Dinner and overnight at your reserved lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

You will wake up, have breakfast and then move to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will arrive at the park in the most appropriate time for a boat ride. After lunch, you will have a boat ride on Kazinga channel and during this session, you will have a glance at animal species like the hippos, buffaloes and elephants on the shores of the lake. You will also get an opportunity of birding different bird species like the pink-backed pelicans, saddle billed stork,African Fish Eagle, the malachite kingfishers among others. You will be taken to your reserved lodge for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

You will have an early morning breakfast and then you will travel to Lake Mburo National Park. While in the park, birding on foot will be accompanied by a ranger guide, then after you will have a game drive around the park while watching a variety of different bird species like the black-bellied bustard, African wattled lap wing among others. This will also give you a chance to encounter the wildlife in the park like the impala, eland and the zebra to mention but a few. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 5: Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe

After breakfast you will have to depart to Kampala. While on your way, you will have a stopover at the Equator for photography as a remembrance that you once stood in the two hemispheres at the same and then proceed to the airport for your next flight.
