ENGABO SAFARIS AND TOURS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The advancement of a deposit to Engabo Tours and Safaris account, the depositor hereby acknowledges that he/she has read and understood the below stated terms and conditions, and agrees to be bound by them as we conduct business together.

  1. Reservations.

To reserve a tour with Engabo Tours and Safaris, a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total trip cost has to be made. For Gorilla tracking, a full advance payment of the permit fee is required in order to make the reservation. The balance of the fee is due 60 days prior to departure. All prices must be paid in the quoted currency.

 

  1. Trip Cancellation and Refund Policy.

With written notice, more than 45 days prior to the first day of any of our tours, 75% of your deposit will be refunded. With 30-45 days’ notice, you will receive a 50% refund of the full cost of the tour. 20-29 days’ notice, only 10% refund of your deposit will be made and any cancellation less than 20 days will receive absolutely NO refund. Once a tour begins, no partial refund can be given.

Engabo Tours and Safaris reserves the right to deduct all expenses from the money paid. We strongly advise that you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance to protect your investment in case such circumstances arise among others.

 

  1. Medical Information.

Participation in our Ugandan tours requires that you are in generally good health. It is essential that persons with any medical problems and related dietary restrictions make them known to us well before your flight to Uganda. The tour leader has the right to disqualify any participant at any time during the tour if he feels the participant is physically incapable and/or if a participant’s continued participation will endanger either that individual or the group. There will be no refund given under such circumstances.

It is the responsibility of the clients to take proper medical and practical precautions in regard to health and safety. Medical advice should be sought well from your doctor before travelling.

 

 

  1. Itinerary Changes and Trip Delay.

Our Company reserves the right to change a program’s dates, itineraries, or accommodations if conditions warrant. If a trip must be delayed, or the itinerary changed due to bad weather, road conditions, transportation delays, government intervention, sickness, or other contingency for which Engabo Tours and Safaris or its agents cannot be held responsible or make provision to the best of our ability, the cost of delays or changes must be paid by the customer(s). This is however rare in practice.

 

  1. Itinerary Cancellation.

Safety is our number one priority. Engabo Tours and Safaris reserves the right to cancel an itinerary before departure for any reason whatsoever, including too few participants or logistical problems such as strikes, wars, acts of God, or any other circumstances which may make operation of the tour inadvisable. All tour payments received will be promptly refunded, and this refund will be the limit of our liability. Engabo Safaris and Tours is not responsible for any expenses incurred by tour members in preparing for the tour, including non-refundable or penalty-carrying airline tickets, special clothing, visa or passport fees, or other tour related expenses.

 

  1. Limitations of Liability.

Engabo Tours and Safaris, its Owners, Agents and Employees give notice that they act only as the agent for the owners, contractors, and suppliers providing means of transportation and/or all other related travel services and assume no responsibility whatsoever caused for injury, loss, or damage to person or property in connection with any service resulting directly from: acts of God, detention, annoyance, delays, expenses arising from quarantine, strikes, thefts, pilferage, failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, civil disturbances, terrorism, government restrictions or regulations and inconsistencies or changes in transit or hotel services over which it has no control. Reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made where deemed advisable for the comfort and well-being of the passengers.
