Day 1: Visit Murchison Falls National Park

Your day begins with a nice cup of tea or coffee, followed by a 4 to 5 hour journey northwest from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park via the Luweero-Masindi road. Make a stop at the Ziwa rhino sanctuary on route; it is located approximately 7 kilometres off the main road.

You may view rhinos that live in this breathtaking wilderness region by participating in rhino tracking at this sanctuary. Drive to Masindi later for lunch before continuing to Murchison Falls National Park.

Dine and stay the night at Paraa Safari Lodge/Nile Safari Lodge/Chobe Lodge (Luxury), Pakuba Safari Lodge/Fort Murchison (Midrange), or Red Chili Camp/Heritage Safari Lodge (Budget).

Day 2: A boat tour and game drive in Murchison Falls National Park

After a delicious breakfast, go to Murchison Falls National Park’s northern wildlife trail for an exhilarating and rewarding game drive.

This adventure lasts for two to three hours and offers breathtaking views of a variety of savanna inhabitants, including giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, birds, and more. After returning, have lunch at your individual safari lodge.

Following that, you’ll take a boat tour or launch journey to the falls’ base. Expect to witness hippos, the basking Nile crocodiles, and a variety of aquatic birds while you’re here, such as kingfishers, bee-eaters, eagles, herons, and more.

You may trek up to the top of the falls from the bottom, where you will be greeted by the roar of Murchison Falls as it squeezes into a confined gorge of approximately 7 metres before tumbling down roughly 43 metres.

Day 3: Travel back to Kampala

Have breakfast and depart from your hotel later. After a morning wildlife drive, you’ll travel back to Kampala. Lunch will be at Masindi, and then it’s on to Kampala.
