This is a 5-day road safari that showcases the finest of the Serengeti National Park. The journey begins with Lake Manyara National Park, then the Serengeti Plains, and finally the Ngorongoro Crater through Olduvai Gorge, the supposed cradle of humanity. There are various hotels and camps to select from on this route.
Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
Our driver will greet you when you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. In Arusha, you will be given a hearty lunch before being transported to your resort in Manyara.
Day 2: Serengeti National Park to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast and check-out, have a game drive around Lake Manyara National Park. After your picnic lunch, make your way to Serengeti National Park for dinner and an overnight stay at a lodge or camp.
Day 3: Safari in Serengeti
Enjoy a full-day game drive in Tanzania’s most renowned park, the Serengeti plains, which comprise 14,763 square kilometres of constantly rolling savannah and are home to tens of thousands of hoofed animals on a never-ending quest for new grassland, on which their life depends. All meals are served at the resort.
Day 4: From the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater
Depart the Serengeti and travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area through Olduvai Gorge, the “cradle of mankind” and location of one of the most significant and contentious discoveries in recent history. After a picnic lunch, continue to the crater. The crater is a world heritage site and one of the world’s largest volcanic craters, spanning 20 kilometres wide, 610-760 metres deep, and occupying an area of 264 square kilometres. Ascend to the crater rim in the afternoon and travel to your lodge for rest and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Arusha Lunch and End of Safari in Serengeti
Drive to Arusha town after breakfast in time for lunch at a restaurant. Following lunch, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your return trip home.
